Hall Rentals

Residents Only

As of January 1, 2023, the Elmwood Hall is only available for rent to RESIDENTS of Elmwood with our community league membership. This way we can direct our volunteer energy into our community.

If you are an Elmwood resident, please email elmwoodhallrentals@gmail.com with your address and membership number so that we can start the conversation.  If you need to  confirm your membership, please email elmwoodmemberships@gmail.com.

To be sure that the hall is a good match for you consider the following:

  • Again, as of January 1, 2023, we will rent to Elmwood community residents only, with an Elmwood Community League membership.
  • We charge $350 for a Friday (after senior programming) Saturday or Sunday.
  • Rental is made up of a $150 cleaning fee and a $200 fee to cover utilities and routine maintenance.  The fee will include use of the kitchen but not the stove; details of a kitchen rental including the stove are TBD.  Professional cleaning gives both renters and our programming guests security that there has been attention to sanitizing before use.
  • There is a $400 damage deposit, payable at time of booking and signing the contract to secure the date.
  • The cleaning fee means you are not obliged to "clean"; our crew can put away the tables and chairs, sweep, mop, wipe surfaces, sanitize as needed, and clean bathrooms.  There will be an extra charge for messes that we consider more than reasonable use such as food spills, icing, excessive garbage, vomit, and unsanitary practices in the bathroom.  The renter will take out their own garbage and take down their own decorations.  If you have used a fridge, that too should be cleaned.  We pay to have our trash removed so garbage in excess of a few bags will also incur a charge.
  • As per the City of Edmonton use agreement, all renters must purchase rental insurance.  We provide some choices and it is usually under $50.00.  The amount depends on the number of guests, use of alcohol, or live music.
  • If you are serving alcohol, you will need a permit.
