These are the facilities we currently have available at the Elmwood Community League.
Main Hall Auditorium - Large space suitable for presentations and larger functions. Includes a stage with projector, screen, and audio equipment. (A lightning-to-3.5mm audio jack adapter available to rent). Chairs and tables (both rectangular and circular) are available. Includes use of the entrance lobby, coat room, drinking fountain and main floor bathrooms. Maximum capacity is 189. We recommend a limit of 150 people, with the use of tables, chairs, and any other furnishings.
Kitchen - Renovated in 2021. All new and modern gas appliances. Renters must provide their own kitchen tools and dishware. This space can be booked by itself or as an add-on to the main hall.
Basement - More intimate space suitable for smaller parties. Includes a limited amount of chairs and tables. Has its own separate bathroom facilities and a separate entrance to the outside. Two whiteboards are available for use. There is a projector available upon request. Maximum capacity is 99. We recommend 40-50 people with tables and seating.
Boardroom - Seats up to 14 people for meetings. Separate outdoors entrance and access to main floor washrooms and drinking fountain. A Tassimo coffee machine is available for use (bring your own cups and optionally coffee pods). There is a large whiteboard and bulletin board as well.
Rink and Shack: Available for rental from May-October only, along with the green space. The rink is a full regulation-sized, fenced and boarded hockey rink suitable for summer sports or outdoors activities. The nearby rink shack is part of the main building with a separate entrance and includes an open space, high-top window seating, fixed benches, washrooms and a small kitchen. Tables and chairs can be made available upon request.
NOTE on catered events: Caterers are required to have their own food permit to use the kitchen for functions. Renters must ensure the caterer they use has a food permit, and must provide us with the caterer's insurance information.
Our spaces are available to be rented for full days or at hourly rates up to a maximum of 4 hours. We also offer several optional add-ons that renters can add to their bookings for an extra fee.
Our exact rates depend on the space being rented and the length of the booking. Our largest space with the most amenities is the Main Hall, which costs $500 for a full day rental including cleaning fees or $50 per hour up to 4 hours max. For more rate information, click the button below.
Third-party liability insurance is required against claims for death, personal injury, and property damage on the premises, in an amount not less than $2,000,000.
All third-party contractors and/or service providers (caterers, inflatables, etc.) also must provide proof of coverage to the same requirement.
