Community Kitchen FAQ

Please reach us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

A Collective Kitchen is an ECL Committee of volunteers work work diligently to provide a warm meal once per month for those in need, or for anyone who wants to come eat with us.

You do not need to be a member of our community league to join. We do ask you to consider purchasing a membership online either to our League (if you live in the area) or to your own League.

We cook every third Tuesday of the month and the meal is served 6:00pm-7:00pm

You can bring your family with you, or someone you know is in need of a hot meal. The meal is free. No tickets need to be purchased, but watch for an occasion RSVP link on Facebook. We ask you to consider making a donation at the link below in order to support the continuation of this necessary event.

The Elmwood Community League is located on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional hunting grounds, gathering place, and traveling route for the Nehiyaw (Cree), Blackfoot, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux and Métis people. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis who have walked and stewarded this land for centuries.  It is our responsibility to maintain and learn about the spaces we occupy and respect the land, its people, its history, and contribute kindly to its future.
