TBA, weather dependent
The Elmwood Community League Board passed a motion to donate $4000.00, to be split between nearby community league rinks, Thorncliff and Lynnwood. Forging these partnerships mean that Lynnwood can keep their gated rink open for longer hours and Thorncliff can maintain their ice better. By working together, we strengthen our bonds with other communities and provide opportunities to form friendships with the neighbours across the way.
The Elmwood rink is not currently running to due many factors, most notably: time invested, high cost (upwards of $15,000-$20,000), and a lack of volunteers to form a committee to oversee, fundraise for, and support it. Should you wish to see the Elmwood rink run for 2026-2027, consider volunteering by emailing the Facilities Director below.
To collect your skate tags so that you can skate at Thorncliff and Lynnwood, contact the Membership Director: memberships@elmwoodcommunity.ca
