All members are invited to the Elmwood Community League Annual General Meeting on Monday, February 27 at 7pm. The meeting will be conducted in person at the Elmwood Community Hall. Refreshments and snacks will be served, as well as an update on board activities and an election of the board.

Our board meets once a month on the third Monday of the month. Meetings are usually 1-1.5 hours long. If you're interested in joining the board please email us at elmwoodyeg@gmail.com. Thanks!

President (2 year term)
Supervises the affairs of the Board, when present, chairs all meetings of the Society and the Board; is an ex officio member of all Committees, acts as a spokesperson for the Society or appoints a designate; carries out other duties assigned by the Board such as signing authority.

Vice-President (1 year term)
Presides at meetings in the President's absence, replaces the President at various functions when asked to do so by the President or the Board and carries out other duties assigned by the Board. (amended 2017-04)

Secretary (2 year term)
Attends all meetings of the Society and the Board; keeps accurate minutes of these meetings; has charge of the minute book and other records; has charge of the Board's correspondence under the direction of the President and Board; makes sure all notices of various meetings are sent; keeps the Seal of the Society and carries out other duties assigned by the Board. Minutes are to be completed within 10 days of a meeting. Minutes to be sent to the President for final approval. Once approved the Secretary shall send to all Board Members forthwith. Directors at Large 1 (Communications) (2 year term)
Responsible for program and event communication to members.

Director at Large 2 (Volunteers) (2 year term) 

Responsible for coordinating and executing a volunteer schedule for events and programming  

Sports Director (2 year term) 

Responsible for all matters pertaining to any sports program offered by the Society, including registration and organization; recruits representatives or act as the representative for the sport's governing bodies, reviews and prepares policy and procedures with respect to any sports program being offered. Reports to the Board of Directors. (amended 2017-04)  

Facilities Director (2 year term) 

Responsible for development and maintenance of the community centre, rinks, parking lot and other league facilities; reviews and prepares policy and procedures with respect to the facilities and reports monthly to the Board of Directors.  

Hall Rental Director (2 year term) 

Responsible for the supervision of hall rentals, ensuring league access takes priority and reports monthly to the Board of Directors.  

Director at Large 3 - (Programs) (2 year term) 

Responsible for facilitating and executing Hall and community  programs for members.
